Leadership starts in the home

Our Commitment To Success

Commitment is an act, not a word. – Jean-Paul Sartre

We all want to be successful in life no matter what we are taking on. I have never met a person who does not want something out of life. To be successful in something. We all know we want the outcome of success. The glory, the happiness, or whatever it may be you are shooting for.

What if our idea of success changed from the outcome to the process of success. What if we were judged successful by not the result but our commitment to the outcome. Were we committed enough to bring the achievement we are looking for. What are we willing to do or give up to have that success?

When we are truly committed to success, we will find a way. It may not be on the timetable we want it to be, but nothing will hold back a person who is truly committed to a vision of something greater. This is what success is, something greater, something more than we are now.

In our lives and our families, we need to be committed to the vision we want to see accomplished. Be committed enough to your spouse to around your life to build a healthy relationship. Be committed to your children to help them grow into the person they are meant to be. Judge your success by your commitment to the goal daily, and you will find the success you are working for. Real achievement in life and in the family is a long-term project when we are genuinely committed to ourselves and those we love.
