Leadership starts in the home

A DIY Life

It takes half your life to realize that your life is a do-it-yourself project. – Napoleon Hill

We have a whole station dedicated to making homeowners do it yourselfers. They tackle all sorts of projects on every show where they seek to empower homeowners to save money and improve their house by showing them how to do tasks they would generally pay professionals to come in and handle.

Napoleon Hill is one of the Godfathers of self-improvements. Even though it has been years since he has been with us, his truths still guide us today. Our own life is a do-it-yourself project. It is up to us to create the type of life we want. To get the right mindset to take whatever life gives us and make it our own. When you understand your life is up to you alone, you will learn to create opportunities out of whatever life throws at you.

Just because it is a do-it-yourself project does not mean that you can’t use the help of others. Even in our show that teaches how to DIY our home, it shows us it takes a team to accomplish most of what we set out to do. In our life DIY, we need to look for those who can help us overcome our challenges. Great leaders know when to lead and when they need to follow.

Sometimes we need to look to others who have been where we want to be to provide guidance for us to be who we want to be. While the life we create is up to us, when we make the life we want, we will find we are standing on the shoulders of others—those who love us and want us to take hold and create happiness for us. Your life is a DIY project; get started now.
