The "Values" Series

Over the next several weeks, we will be releasing blog series entitled The "Values" Series. Blogs will be released on Tuesdays. These blogs will be written from a Christian perspective to provide context and contrast of the origin of values. Let's get started with our introductory thought. The first blog post will be released on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.

What is the Christian response to the changes the world is going through? As new laws are introduced and passed, economic information is released, and foreign policy is publically debated, how should Christians respond? The answer to these questions is important. It is worth pointing out the Christian response to these and other pressing questions can be found in scripture. Regardless of personal feelings and emotions that arise when social, political, and economic topics arise, Christians must always be measured in their response and grounded by the wisdom of scripture to guide their every move. These blog posts seek to engage readers in a discussion on the development of values from a Christian perspective and how self-leadership helps the formation of Christian values. The formation of these values lead to the personal and familial clarity as we manage through the changes of our world. Ultimately, the love of God is the value by which we ought to make decisions. Without the love of God, we are no different from everyone else and have little chance of being a light of strong values in a darkening valueless world.
